Elementarteilchen Create a typographic tool box out of 7 elements Inspired by the historical Chinese tangram game, we will create a tool box with 7 (completely new) forms. In the end your elements will have to form a rectangle while being stored, but at the same time allow you to create all 26 characters of the alphabet. And the challenge is of course to get rid of predictable letterforms, but surprise yourself and your fellow students with unbelievable solutions. This typeworkshop runs for 2 days only, but will result in a real box, accompanied with examples of all letters belonging to this specific box. Let the original tangram game fade before your new tool box. links: http://www.scottkim.com/inversions/gallery/golomb.html http://home.scarlet.be/~demeod/indexnl.html http://www.recmath.com/PolyPages/ http://www.maths.monash.edu.au/~bpolster/i.html#history (circle)
